Our client came to us after Solar PV was specified as a requirement for their new build commercial unit. The requirement was to have as close to 30Kw as possible.
After assessing the plans, we knew roof space wasn’t going to be an issue and the sky lights could be easily worked around to comfortably fit the system.
We designed the system using 72 x 420w panels across 4 strings, providing a total of 30.42Kw.
We looked at a suitable place to site the inverter that worked for the cables from the roof and also for the layout of the building. Once the designs were complete and the client was happy, we made all relevant arrangements for the materials to be delivered to site.
On the first day of the install, we measured and marked out the position of all the panels. We mounted the rails and panels along with the cable containment and all the DC cabling from the roof to the inverter position.
During the second day of the install, we mounted the inverter and installed a cable 70M from the incoming supply to the inverter. All connections were made and the full system was then tested.
We returned to site to meet the relevant staff members in order to commission and hand over the installation, carrying out a full hand over process with all the necessary documents and manuals.
The system is now providing our client with clean, renewable energy.
