We worked closely with our client in order to get the system just right for their needs. Our client had a high electricity usage and was also looking to buy an electric car. Knowing this, we decided to use as much of the roof space as possible but also considering how the system would look. Using our design software, we were able to balance the system across 30 x 405w panels that were split across 4 strings and 2 inverters that would work together to meet the demands of the household and also charge 25Kwh of battery storage. Our client came to us after Solar PV was specified as a requirement for their new build commercial unit. The requirement was to have as close to 30Kw as possible. After assessing the plans, we knew roof space wasn’t going to be an issue and the sky lights could be easily worked around to comfortably fit the system. We designed the system using 72 x 420w panels across 4 strings, providing a total of 30.42Kw. We looked at a suitable place to site the inverter that worked for the cables from the roof and also for the layout of the building.
